Ron Angle Saves Allentown's Arabs

Joe Brennan. Jennifer Mann. John Callahan. Edwin Pawlowski.

Everybody who's anybody was at the annual dinner sponsored by The Arab American Cultural Association on Saturday night. Even the Fleckster. They were probably all shocked out of their minds when the Northampton County Bulldog, Ron Angle, crashed their party, even though it was in downtown Allentown.

Hey, he likes Middle Eastern food. Besides, somebody told him the theme was "burka girls gone wild."

Instead of shunning Angle, Shiek Edwin treated him like visiting royalty, even offering him a grant. Of course, Angle is expected to make a generous campaign contribution.

Saturday's shindig was nearly over before it ever got started, when organizers realized they had no food.

"What will we do now?" cried King Edwin. "Allentown is supposed to be fun."

"No problem," answered Angle. "Just get me five loaves of bread and two fish."

Before the night was over, he also turned the water into Miller Lite.

Blasphemy!!! - You killed two birds with one stone - The Arabs and Jesus. You are an equal opportunistic offender! You should be ashamed of yourself! Why Miller Lite???

Peace, ~~Alex

Did you make this whole thing up, or is any of it factual? Your parodies are funny, but we need you sometimes report the facts about what is going on (because we know the Morning Call certainly doesn't!)

So who were the different politicians that were there Ohare. I am curious who was trying to kiss up to the Arab community for votes.

Seems to me that the "Fleckster" spends more time in Allentown than Easton--------please make him stay in Easton!

As for Angle, I don't get this guy at all and thankfully he is in Northampton and not Lehigh County. He seems intelligent and then all of a sudden he becomes downright rude, obnoxious and stupid. I think its all an acto to get attention.

And what's up with his opposition to anything regional? Again, a smart man acting stupid.

How did you learn of this dinner? Was it invitation-only? Was it only for men? We'd love to have gone.

miller light? he couldn't go with a PA original?

1) The dinner did happen and was Saturday night.

2) I've identified some of the pols who were there.

4) The Mayor was actually nice to Angle.

5) I only have Ron's word on the bread and fish thing, but I've previously seen him turn water into Miller Lite.

Anon 7:42, I had no invitation. I think it's for members and they invite a few pols.

Anon 7:14,

It is easy to do a caricature of Angle, but he's actually a pretty complicated guy. He has no education, but is a voracious reader. He is interested in public attention, but is actually very private about his family life. He is rude and obnoxious, but he never comes to the courthouse without looking me up just to say hi. He cannot drive from the slate belt to Easton without stopping at the places of different friends. He uses poor grammar, but nobody asks harder or more intelligent questions than he. He runs for office regularly, but does not really care what people think of him.

Is he opposed to regionalization? No. He does know that LVEDC is a creature of Lehigh Valley partnership, the unelected fat cats who try to run this area behind the scenes. LVEDC gets quite a bit of public funding in the form of hotel taxes. It claims to have produced all kinds of economic develpment, but Angle disputes that, and thinks the count could do a better job of that on its own. He is very distrurbed by LVEDC's penchant for secrecy, which includes asking elected officials to sign confidentiality agreements.

Bernie,
Were there women there as guests?

Bernie,
When you were in Allentown Saturday night enjoying kibbe did you find out whatever happened to that Hookah lounge to open on 3rd Street?

Bernie O'Hare said...

Anon 10:53, Sure, there were women. Jennifer Mann was there. I believe Lisa Boscola was also there, but am not certain about that.

Anon 11:43, I was not invited there myself, and this post is based on what others have told me. As far as the Hookah Lounge is concerned, that's bethlehem. I drove by it today, but did not stop inside bc I don't smoke.

Bernie great job in describing the bulldog, although you forgot a few obvious points.

He is a Will forger.

And he will obviously steal, sue or beg even from his own family to make a buck. And he will even trample on his dead fathers name for the same buck.

I appreciate your description, but I thought those were points that had to be made as well.

And if he doesn't care what people think of him, then why do you?

"Concerned in Norco" is one of the typical Angle-bashers who desperately wants everyone to believe the caricature. The intensity of the hatred directed at him is evidence that he's doing something right.

Why do I care? Because Ron has something to offer, far more than the typical people sitting in office.

Boscola was not there and not invited

Sounds like a missed opportunity.

Do not attack Ron angle, he has something to offer. Bernies rent check every month!

You are right, he can blowed all of the taxpayers money he represents in court cases which involve his wrongdoings.

He should know better than to waste our hard earned money for his own benefit.

I am not an "Angle Basher" I am entitled to my own opinion, and would have the same feelings no matter who it was.

Karoly was just as wrong for forging a Will as the old Bulldog was.

I believe Ron could turn beer into pee but not beer into water, also, I heard that Ron is having the Bridge in Belvidere (crosses the Delaware) removed because he says he doesn't need it anymore since he can walk on water.
