McHale Uses RoboCalls to Spread Angle's Message

616-712-1796 is becoming quite a famous phone number. It's the number Charles Dertinger used to place a robo call to my cell phone a few weeks ago. Rob Hopkins and Jimmy Spang used used that number for an anonymous weekend smear against Allentown City Council candidate Lou Hershman. And last night, Ann McHale used it for yet another robo call to my cell phone, complaining about Ron Angle's newspaper ads.

In an automated message, Ann disdainfully dismisses Angle's "eleventh hour attack," claiming it is full of "lies and half truths." She never bothers to set the record straight, but just urges everyone to pull that lever for her.

What McHale just did, whether she realizes it or not, is to draw even more attention to Angle's message. A commenter mentions a person who got McHale's call, but never saw Angle's ad. She immediately tracked it down.

So McHale has just spent her campaign money to advance John Stoffa's campaign.

Thanks.

Ron Angle's endorsement in a democratic primary is about equal to getting George W Bush's.

I think Stoffa was running away with it till Angle blew it and put the add out there.

If Mchale were to run the county the same way she's run her pathetic campaign, we'll be worse off than with Stoffa. We should rename this "Lesser Of Two Evils Day" instead of Election Day. Here we go again.

McHale sounded so calm and confident on her robocall. I wonder if she even has one doubt she won't win. She reminds me of Sarah Palin the night McCain lost and Palin had that weepy shocked expression, having no idea where the voters had been going in the last few weeks of the campaign. McHale can see Russia from Bethlehem. I realize that everyone in her grocery store are telling her they are voting for her but who actually confronts a candidate by telling them that they are not voting for them. I'm sure McHale voters are telling Stoffa they are voting for him to avoid a confrontation but Stoffa's not dumb enough to believe all of them.

I changed my vote this morning to McHale based on Angle's cocky endorsement.

I was going to vote for Stoffa anyways, but once I read the ad I made sure I did it first thing in the morning and got my daughter to do so too, her first vote ever cast.

Bernie, your blogging about the rift between LongDems and New Dems must be getting to the LongDems. In her robocall, she said, "Vote for a REAL Democrat, Ann McHale."

How did she spend her own campaign money on the robocall if she already ran out of money before the last mailer and you're wondering where that money came from?

She is a real Democrat. Stoffa is a phoney. Just ask the employees he lied to.

He takes orders from Angle and O'Hare, the County is in worse shape than the Titanic
