Lehigh Valley Election Turnout

When I voted at 11 AM in Nazareth's second ward, I was the 100th voter. Elections workers tell me turnout was heavier than expected for a municipal primary. How's the turnout in other Lehigh Valley precincts?

Update at 2:40 pm: In a Morning Call article entitled "Lehigh Valley voter turnout slow so far", Lehigh County's registrar of voters tells us turnout is "busier than I anticipated." Northampton County's voter registrar claims 15% of eligible voters had already voted by 1 PM. Party leaders had predicted a 15-17% turnout, but it appears that the current pace may exceed those expectations. We'll see.

I hope Fleck wins, It will be nice to laugh at Easton instead of Allentown for 4 years!

I was in the 60's when I went to my precinct. That compares to about 250 votes cast in 2004.

I was voter # 270 in Upper mac 4, there are 600 supervoters in #4, and they are predicting 350.

Bernie's definitely MIA. Buddy Christ must've decided to keep him locked up in the can a bit longer.

Nice to see Conrad Blowhard going down in Nazareth. He can have closed meetings with himself now.

Hello everybody! I'm back! I was at the polling center in Easton, where I was watching the inner workings of an election return. Very interesting! But contrary to popular opinion, it's not the place to be if you want to know what's going on.

My email addy, for the person who was asking, is BOHare5848@aol.com

Good job Bethlehem voters! A bunch of incumbents who've already proven their inadequacy, and an inexperienced kid who soon will!

BERNIE!

The fumes from the bathroom must have gone straight to your head. You might want to recheck the email addy you posted.

LVH!

Sorry! That's the email addy I give to my creditors. My correct email addy is BOHare5948@aol.com. Mea culpa.

Anon 11:42, who were you supporting? I guess you should have worked harder for your candidate. Donchez is fine councilman. Mowrer is a very experienced public servant. Reynolds is a young refreshing change for council. If Reynolds learned anything from Steve Samuelson, Bethlehem is fine.

Here is the real question will Upper Macungie Vote for a Democrat???

Bernie O'Hare said...

Anon 12:19, It might vote for Chris Casey, who happens to be a Dem. Just like Dems like me will vote for Charlie Dent or Ron Angle, who happen to be Republicans.

your not a suburban or rural voter party loyalty seems to trump common sense out here.

Anon 12:34!

Rarely have I been so insulted ... at least today. I have no common sense.

Bernie O'Hare said...

Anon 12:46, You're absolutely right. Nazareth is a borough. But please don't ever accuse me of having common sense. I can take all sorts of things, but not that.

there is honestly little risk of that
ever happening again
